Windber Area and Westmont Hilltop CFF Partnership

Classrooms for the Future is a three year state-sponsored initiative designed to infuse technology into public high schools in an effort to reform education in Pennsylvania. The result is for students to become creative thinkers, problem solvers and collaborators,  enabling them to compete in the global marketplace.

During the 200-2008 school year,
the Westmont Hilltop and Windber Area School Districts formed a unique CFF collaborative implementation model. The two districts utilized the expertise of both coaches. At monthly planning sessions, the administrators and coaches met to review accomplishments and to plan and forecast for the next phase of implementation. Each district tailored training and special sessions to meet the needs of their staff members.   In addition, the districts conducted a joint mini-conference and a collaborative end of year reflection/sharing session. The unique implementation model has enabled the districts to employ the professional resources at the utmost level.
